Weather Alert

I set up weather alert on the WX tab of profile in Sentinel, using the FIPS code for my county. If I turn all lists off, will I still receive weather alerts. In other words, when I go to sleep at night I want the SDS100 to only give me weather alerts and nothing else. I've checked the frequency for my FIPS and it is receiving the weather channel.

If you set the scanner in Weather Alert mode, the only thing that you'd hear would be weather alerts for the areas you selected with the FIPS codes.

If, however, you set it to Weather Priority, it could still scan. You could have Weather Priority set, but only scan the weather frequencies. But that would alert on any frequency when the alert tone is transmitted; it would ignore the entered FIPS codes. Depending on your local weather-radio station, that could inundate you with warnings for areas not near enough to you to be a threat.
