• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I have two feature requests for the web player page, as >90% of my listeners arrive directly from external links to the web player.

1. An icon/link back to the feed details/notes page (http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?feedId=xxxx). Currently a user doesn't have a direct path to this page without navigating the Live Audio directory. (Food for thought -- neither the Archives or Report pages have links back to the feed details either.)

2. A dynamic field displaying the feed status when one is active -- just like the alert box.

Maybe something along the lines of this mockup?

Thanks for your consideration!

Great suggestions, from talking with feed listeners, most have no idea about the feed details or the rest of the info here on RR. The status would be great also I use it when preforming maintenance to let the listeners know an ETA on when it will be back up.
