I have a Uniden BCD536HP and a Uniden SDS200, both of which are set up for remote access via Proscan. Proscan is installed on two different Windows machines in order to remotely access each scanner independent of the other. Each scanner is setup for WEB SERVER operation, and each has their own IP address, as well as their own Port assignments within programming, Port 5000 on the BCD536HP, and Port 5002 on the SDS200.

Both scanners work fine on "local" access through the home network. However, I'm having problems trying to setup the SDS200 for "outside" network access. The BCD536HP has its "outside" access automatically assigned within programming under the WEB SERVER tab by Proscan. When I go to program the SDS200 scanner, I notice that Proscan has assigned the exact same "outside" web access IP address that is assigned to the BCD536HP.

The BCD536HP "outside" access works fine, but the cell phone rejects the SDS200 when I attempt to access it outside the home network. I think it has to do with Proscan assigning the same "outside" IP address within the WEB SERVER tab for each scanner. I'm always careful to enter the proper port number, port 5002, at the end of the search string when trying to access the SDS200. Proscan will not permit me to edit the "outside" IP address assigned by Proscan for the SDS200, in order to differentiate the "outside" IP address in the BCD536HP Proscan setup from the "outside" IP address Proscan setup for the SDS200.

I'm not sure how to proceed to resolve this potential conflict, or whether I'm doing something else wrong in Proscan setup for each respective scanner.

{edit} The outside IP address is the router IP address. Use that when accessing the Web Servers from the outside of your network. Example:
1.2.3.4:5000 & 1.2.3.4:5002 in each Web Browser URL area.

ProScan does not assign IP addresses, just the port # to use. The IP address is the computer IP address. I don't see where you mentioned setting up the Router Port Forwarding. Set that up using two rules as follows:

1a) Use TCP(or TCP and UDP)
1b) IP address of the computer running the server connected to the BCD536HP
1c) Port # of the server connected to the BCD536HP

2a) Use TCP(or TCP and UDP)
2b) IP address of the computer running the server connected to the SDS200
2c) Port # of the server connected to the SDS200

Is the cell phone using the WiFi or cell data? WiFi accessing the server from the local network and cell data accesses the server from the outside.

Your message prompted me to go back into the router to double check port forwarding settings. It was set up, but there was a port forwarding IP address typo. I corrected it, and it works like a charm. Thanks!
