The main SO dispatch channel has been quiet lately. There is more radio traffic from constable units than SO units. Does anyone know if they switch the SO dispatch to a new channel or radio system?

The new Webb County TRS Webb County Trunking System, Laredo, Texas, had these two active channels last night, 46206 which is encrypted (likely Webb SO) and 46296 which appears to be Webb County Fire in the clear. I'm too far away to get good much voice traffic but did hear reference to brush trucks and engines going out of service.

I think you're right rakexander5. 46206 has traffic but it's fully encrypted. I would've expected the dispatch channel to be 46201. It's weird that it's 46206. I'll keep scanning the new system. Hopefully, I am right and the dispatch channel will be in the clear. I don't know why they would switch to encrypted since they've been in the clear for so long.

Sadly, most LE agencies are using wholly or partially encrypted channels these days. Each department has its reasons for keeping main dispatch channels clear or locking the whole system down. Especially near the border.

Has anyone checked their analog vhf channels? I know that they were linked to the GATRRS system. I could listen to the analog frequencies and then picked them up on the GATRRS system. Just wondering.

They still use the VHF channel as a back up but it's mainly used by El Cenizo and Rio Bravo Fire. Constable units are still on the GATRRS system until they update their radios.

Over the weekend, I did pick up a analog frequency from Webb Co. So I'm guessing they are patch to a trunk system.
