    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

A husband and wife from Otis, Colo., were killed in a head-on crash in Weld County Thursday night.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened on U.S. Highway 34 near Weld County road 91 at about 7:25 p.m.

A black 1991 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling westbound on Highway 34 and a black 1998 Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound on the highway.

The Nissan traveled onto the eastbound lane and struck the Ford head on, according to the state patrol.

The Nissan caught on fire after impact.

The driver and a passenger in the Ford were killed. The driver was identified as Diane R. Bouck, 42, of Otis. The passenger was identified as her husband, Douglas A. Bouck.

The driver of the Nissan was seriously injured and was airlifted to Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was identified as Jose G. Villanueva, 27, of Ft. Morgan.

The state patrol said that alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor to the crash and that the investigation is continuing.
