Do I need a digital to pick this up or a analog? I have a pro-82 hand held but not sure.

Hmm I'll have to try again when I get home. I bought a extending antenna for it but I can't seem to pick anything up on it.

Go look inthe RR database under you state city or county & see

If you're in Hawthorne you should get that signal pretty clear, it's Hawthorne PD's dispatch channel from the south Bay Comm Center. don't know much about the Pro-82 but it's a regular analog channel so should work in just about any scanner produced in the last 15+ years.

jr, I've tried it but get nothing but static on the channel
