SDR Trunk and Unitrunker seem to have stopped receiving the LCRA Boerne site. I have attached a screen shot of the SDR trunk waterfall. It looks like just bursts on the frequencies?? Everything was working fine up until a couple of days ago and now neither SDR or Unitrunker are receiving the site. I have moved the antenna around inside the house and nothing changes. I have an SDS100, 436 and 536 that are all working just fine on their stock antenna's inside the house. From my location I can only receive the Boerne site so I cannot check other sites without loading up the laptop and driving to a different part of town.

Any suggestions on what to check?? I just installed SDR and got it running earlier in the week and I have been running Unitrunker for some time with no issues.

Have you looked for a new control control channel, maybe one of the SCC?

What CC is the SDS100 showing since you said it can receive the system fine? Is said CC programmed in SDRTrunk? Post a screenshot of your Tuner tab so we can see Gain & other related settings

Bursts are usually dmr.

In addition to what @Whiskey3JMC asked, post a screenshot of your programming also.



The status column in SDRT should be saying Control and calls would populate in then next row(s) down.




Since working on scanners, what's the antenna situation for Unitrunker and SDRT?

The SDS100 is showing 769.71875, I have attached some screen shots of SDR Trunk window's. I'm starting to wonder if something in my laptop has changed?? Obviously it's not a system issue as the scanner's are working and since it seems to be affecting two different programs. The antenna is a dipole sitting on top of a desk. I also took the laptop outside and nothing changed on the waterfall.

None of your screen shots show its actually receiving a decent signal. None of them are showing the markers either.

Have you checked all antenna connections and wires? Looks like reception issue. Have you tried with just 1 dongle to see if you can lock onto the control channel?

What is your rotation delay set at? If 400, bump it up.

I'm leaning toward COM port issues and/or driver issues. If you have another computer try that once.


If this is Winblows 10 or 11, those updates are not...

Ok I got it figured out. One of the dongles is causing the problem. Now, what do I do about that?? Is there a way to reset them?? I just got my second one from Amazon this past week so I guess I could send it back as faulty.

Bad dongle or bad USB port? Maybe try it on a different computer if available.

I had two dongles going into a USB hub with a splitter from a single dipole antenna. I removed the splitter and ran one dongle at a time to the USB Hub and opened UNITRUNKER, one dongle works and the other does not. I don't have my amplifier connected yet, did not think I would need it since everything was running fine. As soon as I get an adapter I will connect it and see if that makes a difference.

In you ss, both dongles look to be running. In unitrunker, you'll need to select the correct radio (assuming you set up two)

Can you take the hub out of the system and try one dongle at a time directly connected to the USB port on computer?

I'm thinking there might be an address issue or something wonky with the USB hub.

His 4th ss in post 5 shows he has all 5 freqs programmed but does not show the rotation delay. Does not look as he is getting a great signal so bumping the delay up could help him lock onto a cc.

Ok this appears to be a reception issue of some type. I'll have to work on it when I have time and brain power. Thank you to everyone that had suggestions. I appreciate it.
