    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I tapped mine for discriminator output and use it mostly on trunk decoder programs. Mine was a Black Friday special.

i paid full price for my pro 83 ($120), it was my very first scanner. its a good first scanner but its receiving capabilities dont even some close to the GRE psr100s

it's a good entry level performer.missed the 1st sale on it,so i plunked down $99.00. got my 2nd one on clearance for $59.00. good to carry as an emergency scanner in the car.not afraid to leave it in there with temp.extreme's.
