What does PTY stand for (Oakland PD)?

I've heard the acronym "PTY" quite a lot on Oakland PD radio and I'm curious about what it stands for. It's most commonly used in the following contexts:

"PTY in custody"
"PTY courtesy ride"

Also, are there any other common OPD acronyms I should know about?

Sort of sounds like an abbreviation for "party" as in "party in custody."

Are you hearing this being said or seeing it on a CAD system?

I've seen "PTY"(or "pty") on the CAD system and of course its an abbreviation for "party", But to actually voice out the words P-T-Y ?? Wouldn't it be easier just to say "party"?

Oakland Fire uses disposition codes like "PTO" or "PTA" too. I guess they're the same thing. I haven't found any explanation of these yet.

Given your recording, and given that I've heard "x" or "x-ray" used as a reference for "female", I'd say that PTY and PTX are used to refer to "male party" and "female party". You'll have to figure out which is which...

All of those codes are CAD codes that must be used to close the calls as a given disposition.

RT - Report taken, PTY - Person Transported Youth, PTX - Person Transported female

For Oakland FD the disposition codes are as such:

SS -Smoke Scare,
CF - Confirmed Fire (working fire)
HM - Hazard Mitigated
PTA - Patient transported by ambulance
PCR- Usually means a DOA w/PCR left with PD
PRS - Patient Refusal
CAN - Canceled
GI - Good Intent
FA - False Alarm
