What does RP mean

I here the police use the RP reference. They use it as in civilian terms?

Usually it means reporting person or reporting party aka complainant

Can also be sometimes Party Reporting. PR. Beach PD here does it. Sorry i thought i would throw that in.

"Reporting Person" in my neck of the woods, but it's more politically correct to say "caller"

RP - Registered Plate
DL - Driver's License
OLN - Operator License Number

You may also hear "RO" which stands for Registered Owner, usually in reference to a vehicle. Dont get this confused with "RP"

Tip for future reference:

Think of and remember the State you live in/monitor...then look for that states name below in the long list of forums....post your local query in the correct state forum...that way you get an accurate response because what may mean one thing in one area/state may mean sometime totally different in the next state over....maybe one day people will understand this and start posting questions in the correct forums...or maybe I can only dream...
