What happened to the Houston area talkgroups?

Almost all the talkgroups (HCSO, constables, HPD, etc.) in the Houston area have been down for the last 12 hours or so. Does anyone have any idea why or when they might be back up?

Down on which feed, Broadcastify Feeds or Calls Platform? Probably something to do with the severe storms we had last night pass thru.

I see the regular feed is up, fixing to check the Calls feeds.

Also, in the past few weeks there's been a big problem with HPD feeds, with most of them being down at any given time, although the HCSO and constables were working ok. Now almost everything is down

'm talking about the talkgroups you can access through here: Harris County Texas Live Audio Feeds They're almost all down except for Pct 8 Constables. Webster and Seabrook PD's, things in that area.
That list is provided by the Broadcastify server and is a combination of different calls platform providers not just one person. So at any given time there could be issues with a provider. As I stated above we had a severe storm early this morning and knocked out a lot of electricity.

Yea, that must be the problem. Seems like the feeds in the Clear Lake, Pct 8 area are fine, but everything else went kablooey. Maybe the power isn't as bad of a problem in that area. I like to listen to the individual talkgroups rather than the feeds that have all the HPD, SO or constable talkgroups on one feed because it's hard to keep up with what's going on in any individual area that way. If 42,000 people are without power that's less than 1% of the people in the county, but probably that is the reason nonetheless.

You could always move back from Poland and start your own feed. :)

Just depends on where the provider for those particular nodes lives. Luck of the draw when it comes to electric staying on in a storm. Mine went out about 6 times around mid-nite, but only for a few seconds at a time. After the main band passed thru we had almost 4500 without electricity in San Jacinto County.

You have absolutely no idea how much I'd love to do that. It would take a miracle from God, but miracles happen. In the meantime this is my main connection with home.

If I listen to the cops in the States it's kinda like good guys vs bad guys and the good guys win and the bad guys lose, kind of like the voice of sanity. In Poland, if a cop or citizen shoots someone in self defense they usually put them in jail and let the bad guy go free. If a citizen is the victim of even a minor crime they'll keep him in the police station interrogating him for 2 days and not even look for the crook. All I can say is, God Bless America!

Yea, I was just listening to Coldspring SO last night, and it seems like they had some flooding in that area, if I remember correctly.

After Beryl I got serious about backup power. Spent a lot of money I don't have, but we're covered now for short or long term outages.
