If you need it buy the Upgrade straight from Uniden it is cheaper.

Pro Voice is a digital format used on EDACS systems which are mostly at End of Life.

ProVoice is a Digital FM audio mode, used on a analog Trunking system called EDACS... EDACS went End of Life in 2014. That is why Uniden was able to get ProVoice decode in there last 6 scanners as a pay upgrade addon. These systems will be gone in most cases within the next 3 to 5 years.
