What is ICE

Was listening the other night and THP sent out a bolo for a white van, with 2 possible kidnap victims in the back. They mentioned getting info from ICE that had pinged their cellphone at exit 108 and was traveling westbound on I-40. The info was very sketchy to say the least, but I didn't know what ICE was. I looked on Google and found Immigration and Customs enforcement, but wasn't sure if that was they were talking about or if there was a TN ICE program that I hadn't heard of.

Thanks and I never heard one way or another if the van was ever caught.

I would say you found your answer. These days its not uncommon to here of ICE units working anywhere. Hoser

It can also be Interstate Crime Enforcement
We have those here in Metro Nashville, Rutherford and Dickson area.

On some of the Rutherford County Sheriff's cars, the word "ICE" was displayed as an acronym for "Interstate Crime Enforecement."
