• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I find looking up the license on Radioreference more useful since it shows the emission code on the same screen which provides insight on if it is digital or not.
WQYD350 (BLESSING HOSPITAL) FCC Callsign Details

The repeaters have two emission codes listed:
7K60FXE – DMR (Mototrbo)
11K2F3E – FM narrowband

So it’s possible the new frequencies will be FM or DMR. Sometimes entities will license for digital but still remain analog for the time being on a new system.

According to an internal user, the Blessing system is still LTR.

One of the frequencies was confused with a DMR system in SE Iowa.
The LTR System is still located at the hospital owned by Quincy 2 way everyone is still on it except Blessing Hospital. They got their own and went to DMR this week. They have several groups but don't know the ID's I played around with one of the hand helds this week they are Motorola radios. I got the freqs somewhere need to figure out input and output and see if they have a color code.. I do not have a scanner for DMR to check any of this out. I was going to try and figure it out with a MD-390.
