What model? "Bearcat" is a name associated with 20+ different scanner models going back to the 1970s.

interesting, there are different softwares for different model bearcats?
Now obviously the 70s models won't be using software to program them but as far as say a .........396 or 996.
Or the newer bearcats.

You're still being too vague. There are too many different models with different software options for a meaningful software recommendation in the absence of a specific model.

ProScan probably supports the most models, but may or may not support the one(s) you are interested in.

Again, what specific model?

how many different programming softwares are out there?
There isnt one that does all of the latest Bearcat? I can't really give a model right now. If I were to buy one it would be a newer digital bearcats.

Figure out what scanner you want, then look at software.

You're trying to buy tires before you know whether you're getting a minivan or a Mustang.

Software

Just to clarify, Butel makes the ARC series of programming software. There are some programs written by individuals for a specific radio, mainly in the ham area.
