We are planning a trip to Wheatley park in the future , I notice the listings for MNR there still seem to be
the old Vhf-Lo , Is anyone aware if that is still current or have they been heard on fleetnet ,..also while there , is there anything else interesting to monitor ? marine maybe, What do people in this area listen to?

With the possible exception of Algonquin, there are no Provincial Parks on Fleetnet.

TAFL shows a lo band repeater at the Park and the frequency that is listed in the database is there as well.

There's a bunch of other stuff listed for Wheatley in the marine band.

hmmm ok I got confused somewhere along the line , I could have sworn that I heard at some point all the parks MNR was in the process to switch to fleetnet , I dont know where I got that idea from , but I guess it never came to be ..
I found the park frq it does still appear to be the lo band MNR ch 18 46.76 110.9 PL
I dont know what keywords the TAFL is looking for but I dont have much luck with it
I just wondered what those in the area usually monitor , any trips there for me were short & didnt pick up anything at all....

Why not just program them all into your radio and see what ya hear. Could probably help in ID'ing some of the Lowband VHF stuff.

And I don't believe Algonquin is on Fleetnet either. Atleast it wasn't the last time I was able to listen in on the Barry's Bay or Pembroke tower for that matter.

Ok thanks guys ...I must be a complete novice with the TAFL because when i put in Wheatley I get
Error: Your search returned no entries. GMCO produces some results but seem to be all over the place
Other than the park I did see some of the marine , but I would probably catch those with the marine search on the 396T , Ive visited there a couple of times , just for a few hours & searches of all the bands (not very extensive for such a short time) didnt get anything at all , of course it is only on the 396 & its pretty rural I guess so maybe there isnt as much as the cty..

Park operations and security at Wheatley are still on lo band irrespective of the mnr fleetnet migration. You can monitor on 46.760
We camp here several times each summer and listen in all the time. Doing that right now actually.

As mentioned by bu TlZ6, you can catch park operations. But as for MNR on the water, they are for the majority on Fleetnet.
