I think they did refurb/overstock/scratch 'n dent type deals. I'm itching to pick up a desktop scanner and kind of want to go back to uniden for something like this. I would love a 780 series scanner of some sort from the factory.

Did they go away? Google reveals nothing.

Google reveals all.

udn.factoryoutletstore.com/

Phear Google!!

(It was the 14th hit on the search string "Uniden Outlet")

TIP:
If google seems to be a little "lacking", go to:
http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en

Under "SafeSearch Filtering", select "Do not filter my search results."
Under "Number of Results", select "Display 100 results per page."
Scroll to the bottom, and select "Save Preferences".

The things you are looking for are not always in the first 10 hits, and the filters SUCK.

Hmmm, interesting...hadn't seen that site before. I usually go here: http://www.unidendirect.com/.

That's where I got a good deal on a refurbished BCT15 for about $180.

I think this is what I am looking for.

The other one is an "independant" retailer who is not really the uniden refurb store.

Not the deals I was hoping for today, but I'll keep an eye on it. I bet deals come and go pretty fast.

dude, unless i miss the mark with this one, those "discounted" price's for refurbed stuff <who know's what you're getting?> are higher than price's for new in factory sealed box's from some distributer's.be careful with the place's you deal with.also,if the price seem's really good, check the shipping cost's.sometime's they try to zonk you there.

I got my new 996t from Uniden Direct for a good low price a while back and they even shipped it free at the 3 day UPS rate.

Speaking of, what happened to the BR330T? It's not on the UnidenDirect site anymore. Did the supply finally dry up?

I think Uniden sold out, but Scanner World had them as of last week. $199.00, plus shipping I think.
