Denton County and Cooke County are both located in Texas. Denton County sits above Dallas and Tarrant Counties with Cooke County sitting between Denton County and the Red River (Oklahoma Border) with I-35 running through it.
Cooke County has recently joined the "DENTON COUNTY P25 RADIO SYSTEM" we have not renamed our system "yet" however we have been considering a "tactical name". This is due to interest from outside entities such as Cooke County looking at joining our CORE and system. If a rename is considered, it will likely be to help with recognition similar to how the Fort Worth Radio System is now NTIRN, especially since it is not just City of Fort Worth but a very large multi-agency, multi-city, multi-county radio system today.
