Thanks but it seems ebay communication electronics are rarely a deal. I poster here because I was watching Ebay and seeing these at 220 without any accessories, It really makes you wonder what is the deal with a lot of listing.

I have seen large outlets sell them in the past but did not save the links.

Thanks

It doesnt get more "down dirtiest, cheap" than eBay.

Agreed!
You just have to keep watching. There are dead days where I have seen 197s go for $150-$200 with everything included. As it gets closer to the holidays, I doubt if there will be many dead days like in the summer on the weekends.

Not to get off the 197 subject, but I picked up a Pro-2096, complete and working perfect for around $70 about a month or so ago on Ebay which was one he l l of a deal, even though it is an older unit than the 197 is, but 2096s normally go for over $185 on a decent day.

Again, you have to be there at the right time on Ebay.

I don't trust ebay when they say, "It worked when the previous owner used it, but I have no way of testing it out." In fact it's always best to "beware the seller" when it comes to ebay. But from well established sellers with high marks.I bought one of my '197's for $275 from a guy locally on craigslist. I should have bought the other one he had, but didn't have the cash on me, he sold the other one the next day.

The cheapest way is to get a radio shack employee to buy one for you on their 33% off discount. That is it.

Talk about profit hogging - or - is this pricing yourself out of the market?

$25.00 is a little better then $40.00 I hope....
