I am trying desperately to find cheaper handheld digital scanners in the GTA with no luck. I've been scouring ebay but every time I find a good deal the scanner is missing parts (USB cable, AC adapter, etc) which makes the deal not worthwhile as I will need to spend more $ trying to find the parts it is missing. I've owned my Pro-90 for a few years and it was mainly purchased for airband use. Now that I have gotten into EMS/Fire/Police scanning I've outgrown it.

I don't mind used scanners but I cannot find anything that is in my budget on kijiji, e-bay or even on here!

PS: How much could my Pro-90 fetch on the market? Is it still an in-demand model for basic scanning?

Perhaps you could try ScanOnt : Ontario's Best Scanning Resource they're pretty reliable folks on that list and with a reputable amount of sellers.

Hmmm... You should be able to find a decent Pro-96 or 396T in that range. Heck you can often get a new Pro-106 at Radio Shack in the States on sale for less than that (maybe you have friends or relatives stateside?)

All I can recommend is the above mentioned Scanont group, as well as the for sale forums here and over at Batlabs. Also check local online classifieds and sites like Kijiji. Sooner or later something will pop up!

With Encryption, TRBO, NXDN in play even digital P25 scanners may soon be paper weights.
