I use both a Whistler TRX-1 and a TRX-2 and use the Whistler supplied software for programming almost all the time. Is there an easy method of taking the programming from the software for the TRX-1 and uploading that information into a TRX-2 without having to type all the information in again. Thank you.

This has been asked and answered a number of times for these scanners. If you do a search you'll see the numerous times it has been asked. That said here is a link to one of the threads. The search feature in the top right corner is your friend.

That link is only for duplicating the programming from a trx1 to a trx1. He is looking to port the programming to a trx2 (different model!).

To my HUGE disappointment, it's not a simple save and Sent-to!! I always thoguth the trx1 and 2 were the same scanner except for the power suppply (batteries vs 12v supply for mobile/shack use). I only recently found that is not the case, which is a real BUMMER! I was going to purchase a trx2 for the shack, but I'm not going to play games with programming 2 radios every time I make a little change....

I did the usual File/Save current config from one TRX2 and did File\Restore config in TRX-1 EZScan and everything seems to work as it should.

If you do not wish to copy all settings and just the scanlists, then copy just the PL and TS files from one scanners SD card to the other.

This works fine between radios, I use it on a regular basis for this purpose, I move programming between my TRX-1, PRO668, GRE1080 and WS1095 all the time.

Do I understand correctly, you do have to use 2 different EZscan versions, yes? One for trx1 and another for trx2?

Yes you must use the software specific to your scanner (TRX-1 or TRX-2) but you can swap programming through the archive function. In my case I have 3 versions of the software.
