Hi,

I took unboxing photos of Whistler TRX-2 in hi-res so you could see what is included, the shape and possible mounting options.

Concern about the quality:
The buttons are sheathed in thin black rubber material with what appears to be possibly rubberized silkscreen. Unknown how long the silkscreen buttons will last. The up/down/left/right button is large and when you apply pressure and move your finger across the button, the thin black rubberized material covering the button can be seen to attempt to fold and move with the finger, this might mean that over time, the rubber sheath could stretch and result in a soggy button. The diffuse clear buttons have a black silkscreen text, also unclear how long the text will last, but the buttons feel more solid in that they don't have a sheath on them.

Click on the image below to go to Google Photos Album where you'll find description of each image (I included specifications in some photo descriptions):

Update:
in scanning mode the radio consumes 12V @ 260mA = 3.12 W
while playing a transmission and using the speaker current draw can spike up to ~450mA or 5.4 W
