If you already have an RS amplified speaker that your are not using, simply open the case, clip the wires at the speaker terminals, and (carefully) pull it out. You do have to fiddle with the power leads, etc.
I think the amp puts out about 8 watts.
You can then connect the speaker leads from the amp to the terminals on another speaker and see how it sounds. I've gotten pretty good results but I'm still searching for just the right speaker. Then, of course, you have to figure out how and where to mount the little amp.
Just something to consider.
