That link does not seem to talk about the new WIDE filters added in the latest firmware update. I would also like to better understand what these WIDE filters (Normal, Invert, Auto) do, and when to potentially use them.
HEHEHEHEHE You got that right!!! Perfect video showing how I understand filters...!!! Thanks for sharing...!! Gave me a good gut chuckle, and I definitely needed it given my other SDS100 woes...Found a video explaining what the filtering does. Just substitute "filter" for "bitcoin."
If you have a very weak signal the wide normal will receive it better. Makes 100-500 mhz receive better, IMHO.
Unfortunately the filters do nothing for me. I live right outside NYC and the UHF band is packed with NYPD and FDNY in the 470-480 MHz range. Even with the wide filter turned on these frequencies bleed into each other and even bleed down to other frequencies in the 460Mhz range.
Try the filters with the IFX enabled on each channel. I know it sounds like a pain but it might fix the issue. I had to do it because I was getting bleed over in the 450-462 range doing the above cleared up 95% of the problem.Unfortunately the filters do nothing for me.
