If you help him program it so he can hear all of the cops when he races (which I'm assuming is illegal racing) and "such" (whatever that consists of) you could be considered an accessroy to the fact...I would think twice before doing it.

EDIT: If this is for a legitimate deal then please accept my apologies. I meant no offense whatsoever. I'm just looking out for the guys on RR.

save your money, get rid of frustration

ARC996 Basic software................................................... $39.95
http://butel.nl
Radioreference 90 day membership................................... $7.50
http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Subscription

Letting the software get the desired info you request
and automatically program the scanner for you...................PRICELESS!

I think that's a bit of a stretch. I would like to see the prosecutor that could make that case.

I guess your not very computer savvy, because its all a matter of cut and paste and then download to the radio. The hardest part in my opinion is deciding how to layout the frequencies.

For the computer appliance operators, such as yours truely, if I got one
and found some one around here that had one programmed, can one
transfer the data from one to the other, as you can on some of the
more modern ham rigs?

thanks

Actually, I thing the people here would much prefer to teach you how to do it yourself.

I don't like using for illegals either. That's why I always check someone's citizenship status before letting them listen to my scanner.
