We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. I just bought a PRO-106 for the new digital frequencies in my area. I have downloaded Win500 and imported all of my data.

Problem is when I try to upload to the scanner, it says "Failed - No Response from Scanner."

The instructions with the scanner don't really tell me how to use a programming cable, so maybe I haven't pushed the right combination of buttons??

Appreciate any help.

It only has one port for the pc its located at right side of the scanner it also tells you pc/if. The left port is for power and the top port is for external speaker. I glad you did not burned you new scanner, and you got your radio up and running.
