Using Win500 v2.02 to connect with the PRO-106 works properly. I have a number of files to switch around.

The Win500 "Weather Settings" confuses me. I assume the requested FIPS is also the SAME code published on the NOAA/NWS web site? Or are FIPS and SAME different codes? The channels are tagged "enable" and the alert is the wildcard "***".

We had very bad thunderstorms last night, with cloud-to-ground lightning; one strike rattled our house. The storms were moving east from Philadelphia towards the NJ shore. Whereas the local cable weather channel and the TV stations were blasting out continuous warnings; banners, beeps and audio messages.

The PRO-106 didn't squawk all night. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

If my aging mind understood it correctly, the manual says that "enabled" actually BLOCKS a signal, so you have basically blocked any incoming alerts with the wildcard.

And FIPS and SAME are the same thing. Enter a code for a county you want to monitor. I added mine and a few surrounding counties the storms usually track through.
