I'm in Orange Oounty and unlocked extended OC fire Frequencies sometimes they're analog or DG un-encrypted then sometimes they're encrypted. I cant get a trunking code so i just set them to FM and listen. Maybe someone can figure them out. 793.1875,793.94375,794.6375,796.55,796.675,797.225 there might be more but i do hear them talking about the fire in the Rancho San Margaritas area in south OC.

Are you sure those aren't images? I don't believe that's part of the 700MHz band for PS nor are they using it yet.

i have the freq. in my scanner and they are being used by north oc dispatch. Thats weird, are they in the process of rebanding?

No they aren't, they're not even in the first Wave, plus 700MHz isn't related. And 700MHz hasn't been cleared yet for public safety use...and 700MHz trunking would be fulled P25 Trunking, which is not the type of system OC uses. So I don't believe what you're hearing is truly on that freq. It's an image created by your scanner.

if i set my scanner to 793.1875 i get alot of encrypted stuff then it will every so often broadcast animal control and other DG silver channels and occasionally fire department. i cant id the animal (40000) if i switch to mo. anyone in south oc try tuning in that freq. and see what im talking about. Maybe it is a internal scanner issue causing this.
