While I wait on a Linux solution for my Raspberry Pi, is there a Windows client that can get audio and metadata from an SDS200 connected to the network via LAN. I have an old laptop I can throw it on.

Radio Feed looks promising. Anyone know minimum system requirements? I have an old laptop running Windows 98

You can put windows 10 on RPI 3B+ and run windows software. Its a little slow but it works. I ran my internal feed on it for about a month as a test (I needed a good back up solution). It gets hot but if you have a fan case or a flirc case it works. You could do this on another sd card so as to not lose your progress on the linux build your trying to make.

Heres an install video in case anyone is thinking about going this route:
