Had OCSO Sector 2 up, but fried my Pro 96. So thought I put the GRE 800 to use on something other than an analog system. I think I have most of Orange County Fire Rescue covered.

Winter Park FD Tone Outs

On the Winter Park FD channel WPFD Alert 7207 I can not hear the station tone outs on the 0700 daily test. When the alert channel (7207) goes on for an actual dispatch, I can only hear the 3 beeps, not the individual station tones that preceed those beeps.. I have a PSR800 scanner. When the system was analog, I never had this problem. Any ideas?

Just have the beeps too, no tone outs heard at anytime.

Sarasota is like that on the digital, but in analog I can hear all the station tones.... Here the stations tone out analog because from what I hear they are not capable to do tones on digital, or the county does not want to pay money to switch something that works.

Just my 1/2 cents, since the dollar is worthless

Thanks, could be what the problem is. Need to see if they have an Analog Channel in the database.

WPFD is now using Private Call to alert its fire stations, same as Orlando. Thus, no tones, since as has been noted before, tone alert does not work on digital channels because the actual tone frequencies do not reproduce properly.

The beeps preceding the dispatch are just "attention" tones sent by the dispatcher, and as such, the actual frequency is inconsequential
