WM moving to AWIN

That's good. Hopefully they will remain in the clear, as they should. I think AWIN would benefit many departments but the cost is the prohibiting factor. I mean, heck, locally they operate on analog NFM still so going to AWIN would be quite expensive (and need an additional site, most likely, for good indoor coverage from portables). Be nice, though, as long as they stay clear like now...

Umm West Memphis PD is DMR, and FD is P25 conventional. WMPD - West Memphis Police Trunking System, West Memphis, Arkansas - Scanner Frequencies WMFD -

And with the newish Marion site this should give plenty of coverage. And this would be an opportune time for WMPD to set up an interop set up with the neighbors across the river or at least with THP/ASP and an AWIN/TACN setup. There have been a few chases over the river from TN into the WM area of AR.. And vice versa.
