I have heard from a reliable source that Woodbridge is going to have pages on the current OEM, PD1, or PD2 they are not sure but one of them. Also we will be staying on 33.82Mhz for awhile until all the FD's can get new pagers. If anyone else has more info let me know.

Thanks

Judging by the spotty coverage PD2 gets my guess would be they'll have the pagers on PD1. I'll see what my buddies know.

TAC-1!!!! RIP to that vehicle. anyway on the frequecy progress... Last i heard it was all changing over this August. OEM has all new radios and i think the police have theirs already, at least portable. Paging is going to either PD1 or OEM11 with the 33.820 remaining until the pagers are switched over, i think they are still trying to decided. Other then that.... thats all i know thus far.

$500K ? I think the price tag is going to be much more then $500K for what they're proposing.

From the press release (emphasis is mine):
"Mayor McCormac noted that the $500,000 in federal funding will allow Woodbridge Township (the fifth largest municipality in the state of New Jersey) to continue to implement a comprehensive police/EMS radio communications system that is currently under construction.

Just $500,000 from the federal government to help them get to the next step, not to completely pay for everything.

yes...nassau county is a pain with the frequency. i have not picked up on any tones yet either specific to the company being paged. A lot of testing around the township yesterday i heard with positions and testing the ranges it sounded like and if it was a clear page or not. Getting there.....
