I am interested in the communications during world war 2. I've searched google but not much luck, I hope that someone here knows websites that have information on it. I'm interested in the system used by the U-Boats, and aircraft or any other information about radio communication during world war 2
thanks in advance

Or via qsy.us (Ham-friendly-link to Q-signals and TiinyUrl) :)

A lot of the development in communications during WW-II was conducted at Fort Monmouth NJ; this was a "think tank" for most communications issues.

Well speaking of WWII radio communications/equiupment, I have a US Army Signal Corps Radio Receiver BC-312-N that I bought for $20 back in the mid 80's.

Still works and I love seeing them old tubes glowing!!!

For aircraft do a google search for BC-348Q it's the receivers used in B-17 Bombers during WWII and some of those pages you'll find will also describe the transmitters and how they all worked.

Modify your search words you'll find stuff, its out there you just got to try harder than one attempt.

Not specifically WW2 related, but there's a lot of good information for that period of time here:

http://www.radiomarine.org/

The links to the KPH Project, and the 4U radio console will be of particular interest.

Barry008, I wonder just how many old timers

(just about includes me at 64 or so) knew Hedy Lamarr was not only the first woman on the silver screen to be nude, but was into electronics and "spread spectrum" frequency shifting! That is an interesting link you posted. She was anti-nazi as well.

Long Live B+W...

I could watch old B+W war movies all day, even the crappy ones. I'm 54 and grew up in Columbia SC. Out on 378 just about where I 77 crosses there was a military junk yard that had a lot of WWII trucks, duwks, jeeps and strange looking vehicles I have no idea what they were. This was in the late 50's early 60's. My father owned a used car lot and we went there looking for cheap used parts many times. They even had aircraft parts especially fuel drop tanks. But I digress. WWII was probably the best period for electronic growth there ever was. Computers came into their own, radio communication grew by leaps and bounds and radar was developed and vastly improved in 5 years. This war and time seemed to be an impetus for technological inovation and, by necessity. Nothing has ignited America's genius like WWII did, not even the space race. We used the paperclip Germans for that. . . . __
