WS1065 - Dakota Co. Simulcast questions

New to scanning so I could use some help. I created a trunk system for Dakota Co Simulcast and added the following frequencies -

851.1625

853.0625

853.3125

853.5625

860.7375

With the following settings

Type – P25 Auto



I then created a talkgroup for Lakeville. The problem seems to be the auto is cutting out. Are there any tweaks with the TSYS or is it just my scanner is unable to pickup those frequencies? Thank you!

What does "created a talkgroup for Lakeville" mean? Which talkgroup(s) are you attempting to listen to?

Try a smaller antenna (or paper clip), relocate the scanner, simulcast distortion or loss of signal on any scanner other than the SDS scanners is ify at best.

Try turning on the attenuator and also turn on the SuperTrack decoding algorithm in the system. I seem to have better luck with SuperTrack on simulcast systems. Also, turn off digital AGC. The AGC action can increase garbled audio problems when dealing with simulcast distortion. Since you are scanning only the Dakota Simulcast site, set Multi-Site to Off.
