somehow I missed that thread, but my point is look at the State Police listing for Jefferson Co. then look at the regular State Police listing at the main WV page. shouldn't one reflect the other? it doesn't.
Hmmmmmm. Well. Good point. And the date for the WV DPS page is July 2007.
Here is what Motor says =

WVSP Freqs..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I should not have to defend my accolades, but here goes I have been a Real Leo here in WV for the past 10 years. Before going to Federal Law Enforcement...And no I am not going to say where due to OPSEC and my family. I have immediate relatives who were WVSP troopers, and close friends who are currently WVSP troopers and WVSP dispatchers...Now I DON'T PROFESS TO KNOW IT ALL.....I am just trying to help those with questions..
WVSP cruisers had GE Low band 30-50 Low bands
Then they changed to GE Orion Low Band 30-50 radio both are 100 watt models
both the above radios had the integrated system head meaning they could operate the overhead light bar and siren from the control head on the radio.
The VHF radios went from GE MDX 150-170's and 450-470's
to GE Orions of the same range.
Also Vertex radios of the same splits are used.
Now the new P-25 interoperable radio system is slowly coming to life in WV
some detachments are getting those installed.
Supervisors who work different assigments like desk duty in brass alley DO NOT have the need to speak to every agency, be it police or fire in WV hence the lack of the triple radio stack or lack of antennas...LOL
The State of WV goes with the lowest bidder and also who has the strongest sales rep in the area...Money talks here people....This is the answer to different brand equipment..
Fire Marshals, Regional Jails, DOT..All the same...money and availability at the time of need means everything.
WV DNR has gone with P-25 equipment now...The used to have old GE 550 Low Bands in thier vehicles about 5 years ago....my how times have changed....
My former department radios were programmed with DPS splits as well so we could talk on thier band plan for interoperability in the late 90's to current. But now that P-25 UHF is growing statewide..That will soon go in the toilet..
156.0300 was and is used either CSQ or a different PL than the Pac Rt for car to car by WVSP so lowband would not be tied up in case of dispatch or company to company calls..
This is only ONE of many Car to Car channels used...It was frequently used in my area.
Due to professional courtesy and the thin blue line...A few things I know are better left unsaid....Sorry but thats they way it is.....Drum role please... THE END...

Send her an E-mail / PM and ask her.
She mentions the " 42 Spectrum " in one of her post. Hmmmmmm. Yeah, I scratched my head to. She has not posted since I mentioned BCI / Task Force visiting a WV P.D office. Supposed to give us more freqs last week. She was a no show. Must be on a secret op, surveillance, homeland security assignment. Researching passports, doing background checks? Maybe a National Agency check for an individual joining the service? Working a secret assignment passing out "Black Info" Those secret agents are busy.
