WX alert. How to program it in with Freescan?

I have the SAME number for my county. The input fields are:

SAME Group Name
FIPS1
FIPS2
FIPS3

Also do you check any of the 3 boxes? Weather alert, attenuater, record?

Delay. 1 to 5?

It should be pretty simple - I think you would put your SAME code in the FIPS column, give that group a name, and set weather priority alert on. I don't think you'd want the attenuator, and I'm not sure you'd want any delay.

I'd read up on the function in the Easier to Read guides for functions. Assaf? Did I get that right?

Without the Weather Alert Priority being checked? I assume you turn that on only when you need it?

That is correct. I should have mentioned that. I rarely use it though as I have a weather alert radio anyways.
