Can someone help me setting up the wx alert for a Motorola minitor 6 fire pager for weather alert on 162.550

You can only program that pager for general alerts. It won't handle the SAME codes. That said, use a Group tone of 1050 hz. You won't be able to scan two channels because NOAA is constant transmit.

Go to NOAA's website for info on SAME codes and other weather alert systems.

Can someone give the programming steps how to set it up on my monitor 6 and can someone PM me with a tech that can do it

The instructions are not giving information on the tones settings

Does anyone on here know if the 1050 hertz tone should be put in position A or B and if the pager should be set to long tone C or Long time B

Uh, I thought I gave you that info when I said "use Group tone."

Group tone or code or call = Long C.

I must be mistaken.

Have never tried it with a Minitor specifically, but I have a couple of Kenwood TK-270G's that I did this with. I set the "Group Call" to 1050 Hz. Works good, except the Kenwoods don't have the full alarm tone, just a little chirp sound, so it's easy to miss.
