To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Are there any issues with upgrading the XG-100P firmware from R02A26 right to the latest R06P01?

MAKE SURE you don’t have to update HALM (encryption module) firmware first but you should be ok

Odds are the radio was downgraded to R02A26, so the encryption modules are most likely current or close to current.

After upgrading my P25 7/8 NAS scan stopped functioning, does this fimrware R06P01 do something to disable P25 NAS? Currently using RPM14.

Nope. If it's registering, then you need to check your programming or your mission plan is corrupted!

BTW, NAS is a procedure for Motorola radios. L3HARRIS radios are just set to not register.

Im so used to referring to monitoring a TRS as NAS its ingrained in my brain. I received a few TG's but I'm missing almost all traffic. I may have to remake my codeplug and go from there.
Can you downgrade to a previous firmware version, or is it only upgradeable?

Is your radio registering or is it just not scanning properly? You said "NAS" scan was not working. That would typically indicate to someone that the radio is affiliating/registering.

If it's just not scanning as it was before, try rebooting the radio first. Hold the front 2 buttons, on each side of the arrow pad, along with the PTT button, and then turn ON the radio to reboot it. It will indicate the mission plans and keys have been erased. You will have to reload your mission plan(s).

Attempted all that you suggested, the radio was monitoring the TRS perfectly fine before the firmware upgrade but now refuses to unmute. Same codeplug and whatnot. The plug has been setup to NAS just as the comm.support guide describes and for safe measure, has the Tx power set to lowest setting and Tx offsets have been altered.
Did the new firmware change the way the radio monitors?

Is the system that you want to monitor a Phase 2 system? Does your radio have option 47 enabled? Do you have TDMA checked in the trunking system?

I would also make sure that the radio is NOT trying to affiliate to the system. What system are you trying to monitor? Sometimes its better just to start from the beginning again and rebuild the codeplug. I am running 8 mission plans in my 2 xg100p units at the moment but then I am surrounded by a ton of phase 1 and phase 2 in the dc metro area

Started to do that but to no avail, its a Moto Phase II system, and my RSSI is showing -89 on the control channel, I might downgrade the firmware back to what I had it, but I do not have the R02A26 dss file.

Are you 100% sure that you have the correct iden tables? Older firmware would work, even if the tables were wrong. Updating the firmware can force the radio to use the iden table and if it is wrong, you will miss traffic.

again everything worked fine before the firmware upgrade fromR02A26 to R06P01. Is there something in the R06xxx firmware that prevents non-affiliate scanning that I am not aware of like a change of the AAC permissions in the radio?
