I was looking for some information on how to increase the carrier level. According to most of the information I can find the carrier should be in the neighborhood of 20-25 watts while maintaining the 150mA i.c. Mine is in the neighborhood of about 15 watts. In tune the rig outputs full power. The radio has been recapped and there are new Toshiba tubes in it. Unfortunately I cannot find any info on bringing up the carrier without exceeding the 150mA i.c. Thank you in advance. Here is the output in tune:
160m 90 watts
80m 140 watts
40m 140 watts
20m 140 watts
15m 135 watts
10m 120 watts

Yes I did. The radio has been recapped, aligned, and the new tubes neutralized. They have full output on all of the bands but the carrier seems to be lower than expected while maintaining the required 150ma. This might also be a fault of the Daiwa meter I'm using as a reference though. I've read that the carrier should be around 20-30 watts. I have a feeling that the meter might be the problem but assuming it isn't is there anything you can think of that would cause the carriers level to be low while still allowing full output? I need to dig out my scope and get a true reference I suppose.

I know it has been several months but I figured I'd post an update. I've been chasing ghosts. It has a 19 watt carrier and just shy of 100 watts PEP. With the +/- 8% margin of error of the Bird meter it could be slightly higher or lower. I want to thank everyone for there help and insight. I greatly appreciate it.
