I didn't find any threads about printing out the Advance Manual for the ft-891. I ended up having to print it out myself. It took a while but I gotterdone. Anyone need help let me know here and we can try to walk it through here.

What am I missing here? It's literally a .pdf that you print just like any other .pdf document. Not sure why there would be any threads on that.

I checked. There aren't. Printing it was not at all easy. I printed mine 2 pages per side of an 8 1/2" by 11" from my home printer. 114 pages. The end product looks like the companion of the original manual. Looks good and easy to use. It's actually better since it is spiral-bound. I had taken it to the printers but the last page has the ' . . .no . . . reproduction allowed . . ." so they wouldn't touch it. I had to figure it out and print it. Took me awhile. I didn't realize that there could be so much to printing a book-let.

I literally have the .pdf right here on my computer. It is a normal .pdf that can be printed like any other on a normal printer. 114 pages. I'm not sure what was so difficult for you. Do you not have a printer at home?

2-sided printing can be tricky depending on the printer. And, that's what I think's going on here. The OP is talking about having problems with his printer.

You're close to the mark. My printer is fine. I was surprised to see there are many options to print and combinations thereof. Unless you're a pro getting it to print 2 pages per side of a 8 x 11 1/2 in the right order is surprisingly no small feat. Now that I know how, I was offering to save someone the trouble if they were having any problems printing the 'Advance'(sic) manual.

Unfortunately "what's going on here", as you said, is even Radio Reference has its trolls. Mr. Alcawitty has trolled me on another post also. With as many messages as he's posted, he knows better but I guess it makes him feel important and superior. It is best to ignore him as I have.

Thanks for trying to help.

Apologies for not posting sooner. Here's the end result. One looks like a good companion for the other: 73

I printed some of my manuals two-sided with a single page per side and then had them bound. This makes them a lot easier to read than the normal sized manuals.

Now you tell me! Yea, makes sense: easier to read to those of us who are visually challenged (me included). However, it's twice as thick. It was unexpectedly a lot to figure it out the way I did it but the printers would not touch it for the copyright threat. Still, mine looks pretty good, and matches the first manual. No need for a binder. Convenient, portable.
