i have lost the original mic that came with the rig. So I ordered one of those $15 mic's that our Chinese friends have mass produced them.
went through 2 of these mic's . 1st one wouldn't even key the rig. they soldered the switch too low and it completely misses the mic ptt.
also the up down buttons on the mic did not work. tried reprogramming them but it only changed the front keys of the rig itself and not
the programmable keys.
The 2nd at least would key the radio. I was using it as is until........ I found a ham store that had the "good" ones at $59.95. Wooo Hooooo!
guess what? the up/down buttons don't work on it either. It is a much better quality microphone so no loss on the purchase.
So I still have the same issue, the up/down buttons do not work and they seem to resist a programming change.
Any one got any thought"s ?
