I am looking to install a Yaesu FTM 100 in a side by side. I was wondering if the people who own an FTM 100 could tell me if they fell its rugged enough to hold up in this application?

When you say "side by side" are you talking about some kind of off-road vehicle?

Yes, it's an off-road vehicle. It's a Kawasaki Teryx. I'm worried about dust and vibration since it has a detachable faceplate and it uses an sd card.

I'm not sure what's on page 21, but add concern for the antenna too. Stay with shorter dual band antenna as the vehicle whips back and forth that motion is transferred to the antenna and longer antennas can snap off easily.
