Using a scanner that has zipcode search, so i was wondering......

I know RR has a search by location, but it only works for 4 mile radius.
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?action=fccProx&lat=37.16&lon=-98.08&r=4

I was wondering if there was a website or standalone tool, that I can enter in a zipcode, radius, and service types(like sentinal uses) and see what frequency/systems comes up based on my search criteria.

Thanks

That function is built into Sentinel.

Edit --> Add Channels on Range

Creates a FL having channels based on the parameters you select (location, range, service types).

My guess is that your profile has main dB turned off and some FL that has the FRS channels tuned on.

Change the profile to only use the main dB.

I turned on "Monitor Full Database" in settings and it performed as expected.

So what happens if I leave that option on when i dump it to my scanner?

The Main dB will be used for scanning as well as any FL's you have enabled.

Huh... I learned something new today. The website for promoting the Home Patrol used to have that functionality but it has been removed.

The web implementation did not match what the scanner would actually load and select.
