Bob, two posts up Unitrunker said, "Hang tight everyone. Allow me time to dust off the old code" which I took to mean that he will be updating the older version to work beyond 2008.

If for some reason, you're "stuck" on the old program, I can re-release 0.1.0.57 with the understanding that this is old code with known bugs.

I prefer the old version; just don't like the new version for a variety of reasons. Guess I'm just too hooked on the DOS look...

Yes, please continue the old version!
The new version is not as good.. keeps spawning separate windows each time a radio system is tuned.. I hate that -- and it doesn't want to monitor an APCO 25 system near me, like the old one did.
The old one looked better and seems to work better!

Yeah, I have to run the dos version to collect the data and then take the data files over and import them to the windows version before the window will work with it. Even after that windows won't save any new info to the file.

Add me to the 'Me Too' list for version .57. It works great on a local EDACS system that I monitor and the new windowed version is just too cumbersome with all the windows and 'Limbo' systems. I also have problems getting my info to stick and be there next time I start it back up. Simplicity works best for me in this case.
Thanks for your help and consideration Rick!

Unitrunker
Mine does not work anymore either. We'll wait to see what "the man" sez!

With all due respect to the fine work that you have done in the new windowed version, it is at best an Alpha version right now. I fail to see how the console is obsolete at this point.

Which has more bugs? The old beta version or the new alpha version? While I know that soon I will prefer the new version at this time the old version is a 1000 times more dependable.
Thank you,

The old console window Unitrunker has been rebranded as "UniTrunker (Retro)". Updated installer available on the download page of www.unitrunker.com. Please take a moment to read the license terms and conditions before downloading. A gentle reminder - the files and information on www.unitrunker.com are copyrighted material. Please do not post or copy the information to another website. You may instead provide a hyper-link to the information.
As stated earlier - this is obsolete code. I'm way behind schedule on the new Unitrunker so there are no plans to make improvements, fix bugs, or expand documentation on the "Retro" edition.

I too had the 'data not saved' popup on two different machines, and figured it was in the software. Thanks Rick for making the necessary changes, as I love the look of Retro and actually run both Retro and the latest windows version at the same time on the same machine with no problems.

Thank you Rick for all your hard work.
Speaking for myself, I guess that I may be a bit selfish "living in the old world". Some men my age like to live with something tried and true and sometimes are a bit apprehensive of change. I did try the newer version of Unitrunker...but it just wasn't "home" to me. I do understand that you must focus on improvements and upgrades to your fine product, but just wish to express my appreciation for your taking your time to "adjust the old". It says a lot.
Bob

I thought I had killed that logic. I can release the program again. Bear in mind that it does not know how to talk to the RR DB (the mechanism changed last summer) so you won't be able to download talkgroups and systems.

0.1.0.57 18th Public Beta, the version I have, is running fine here.
