Default doesnt work

I am running my pcr2500 and I cant get unitrunker retro to work. I have it going from my packet to my mic input. Once in awhile I might get something but then it stops I see (no signal) I am using a radio shack stereo cord. whats up with this? I even run the oscop to see if there is any signal and NOTHING is happening while I am on a Control CHAnnel
just doesnt work form me
