CC Affiliation Request help

Control Channel Gurus,

I've stumbled across two sets of OSW sequences that appear to be the same. Both appear to be an affiliation request.

[308 x RID] [30B x 261B]

What's the difference between these two messages?

$261B is generally sent when the CC has not heard from a subscriber in X amount of time. It's requesting it to affiliate to acknowledge it's still there. This is standard operating procedure with SmartZone systems so that each site stays efficient by broadcasting only affiliated TGs.

$32A means a manual request was made by a terminal or console to see if a radio is on the system. An affiliation would designate confirmation.

There's also a third one which I cannot recall the meaning for. It's $261A. I think it may be outdated now but was a similar request to the central controller to request an affiliation.
