So this scanner has an Control Channel Data Output....does anybody know of any software that currently works with this model for the output ? If not has anybody performed an disc tap on this model and has resources that I can go over to help me do it.

Hello,
Serial Cable. If you don't have a serial port, use an USB to Serial Adapter.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it only works on a 3600 trunking system. If you are trying it on a 9600 system it will not work.

I'm using it on a 3600 trunked system. I set it up so my com port is in the config file, but I dont know how to set it to use the com port and not audio.

You just set CC Data Serial Port to the correct port number. If your scanner is sending CC data, the program will display it.
If nothing happens, your scanner isn't set up properly. Note that you have to program the trunked control channel in a system before it will work. You can't just manually tune or search.

Correct. The BC346XT is a P16 Analog Scanner. If you use a P25 Trunking capable scanner such as the BCD396XT or BCD996XT, PRO96COM will work with serial communications for 9600 bps (4800 Baud) P25 Systems.

Edit. Got it working. Had to turn on the CC dump! Doh! There is On,Off, and Extend settings. I turned it on and now trunker88 is working. Anybody know what the Extend option does. Also where can i find some resources to help me understand what I'm looking at ?

Edit: I see you solved the issue by turning on CC Out on the scanner.

Hello,
See Page 96 of BC346XT .pdf Manual.
Set C-CH Output
The scanner can output the data stream on control channel by using this function.
OFF: data stream is not outputted.
ON: data stream is outputted.
EXTEND: data stream and description are outputted.

Excellent Excellent we are moving now! I didn't even see that complete reference manual buried in my CD-ROM that came with the 346XT. It was under articles, next to a dozen or so random junk folders. You would think the reference manual would be included in the index.html file that was apparently supposed to be the index ?
Anywhoo, now that It's all up and running. I just need to find the Trunk88 manual....I'm on the dew hickey yahoo group and there is no manual over there.
It's saying these radios are affiliated with TG's that dont even exist on ze system. Like TG 30...and all this rubbish.

The program is displaying the real talkgroup numbers (the ones the system and its radios actually use). If you want to see the "rubbish" numbers that scanners display, set Talkgroup Display Format = 4.

Thank you very much for that helpful information. Is there any resources you can link me too that will explain these things ? What all the other stuff means ? I really want to learn as much as I can about trunking and how too read the CC dump.
