Default decoding motorola P25 9600 baud control channels

Hi all, We here in sydney Australia have a new system to contend with a replacement i guess for our old motorola smartzone omnilink system known as the New South Wales Government Radio Network. they are currently testing it on one site in the sydney basin and ive been trying to decode it using unitrunker and a uniden BC350c with a discriminator tap. ive currently got a health of '0' even parked next to the tower. am i doing anything wrong with it?, will unitrunker decode a P25 9600 baud system automatically? do i need to go to a 'slicer' tap like offered by my PSR500 and USB cable to decode this?
cheers
Matt

You can decode the system using either discriminator audio piped into a sound input - or - you can use your PSR-500 as an "inline" signal source using the supplied USB cable.

For sound input - you'll need to adjust the signal level. See the "Level Up" document on the website.

Give PRO96COM a try (PSREdit - Configuration Editors for the new GRE line of scanners). It works great with P25 systems, using your USB cable.
