Here's your notice
Fixed
1. FIXED: press "F2" and move up/down - first row appears selected (even as other row(s) are selected).
2. FIXED: window first appears - click row and nothing happens.
3. FIXED: editing inside sorted column - may try to position beyond last row (crash ensues).
4. FIXED cell selection (not in edit mode) - works when selecting different row; but not within same row (temporary but inefficient fix - invalidate whole paint area).
6. FIXED: with no row selected; click column heading to sort - crashes in STL vector code.
7. FIXED: cell movement in edit mode - column headers don't follow.
8. FIXED: Colorwords don't work with new download.
Improved
1. DONE: update to newest WSDL for SOAP download
2. DONE: recognizing rebanded and splinter for 800 mhz Motorola RR DB download
3. archive grid - row selection does not work when sort order is reversed.
4. DONE: Receiver self start (a receiver that was running at time of program exit will be automatically restarted).
5. DONE: Archive "Take Me Back" will halt all receivers, revert the data to prior version, and re-start the receivers.
Bugs
1. horizontal scroll - click to cell determining cell by mouse position does not work (acts as if horizontal scroll is at zero). work around: stretch frame window horizontally.
2. row selection is messed up in most grids (suggest avoid use of multiselect until this is fixed); actually, this may be fixed.
3. shrink view to two rows (three total); select top row and scroll down - last two rows appear selected.
4. RR DB uses Google style tags; these are not supported.
5. LTR talkgroups are downloaded in-correctly.
6. Download is too silent - can't alway tell if it is working.
7. Receivers - may say "running" when actually it isn't.
8. Accept All/Discard All require you to select something.
9. Omnilink "zones" - not all systems have been reworked in the RR DB. Submit a ticket to the RR DB admins if you suspect this is the case.
10. Other RR DB download issues have been reported.

Can't believe I left this out ...
Newest version is 1.0.0.6 which you'll find in the "downloads" section at unitrunker.com.

New Unitrunker bugs or me.
Hi, I love this program, been waiting a long time for this up date. But I wanted to let you know I believe it still has bugs or I am not doing something right? I can not get the signal to the program like I could with the older version. When I give it all the info I believe it needs and tell it to run it does nothing. It also stops responding when I click on the scope to check the signal. Any suggestion or are these bugs? Thanks.

Unitrunker Stucked when trying to operate Scope
Hi there
1) When I try to operate the SCOPE the software get stuck no scope screen apear
but in regular operation the software decode control channel
I think its sensitivity to noise is less good then the trunk88
controller that trunk88 can decode the unitrunker cant decode

I don't have my scanner to run the software but if I start I go thru the menu start decoding or not when I go to the tab on the scope it consumes all of my processor and does nothing. I have to go to the task manager to kill the process and start all over. I like the new look.

For those who haven't installed the new vesion yet, a suggestion.
Keep the old version in a separate directory in case you need to go back. Copy your existing data files to the new version's directory so any problems won't screw up your data. After you've made sure the new version works ok for you, you can delete the old directory.
This tip applies to any software that does not update itself via the operating system's install utility.

You must have posted that for a reason, I went back to an older version, but, I had to start from scratch.

Got a few more observations for you since my email, Rick - but first I should reiterate how much improved a lot of the program's features are overall. Besides the fixes and improvements mentioned above, everything is just behaving much better, even on my netbook. I particularly like the fact that it'll resume the receiver on restart and that you get a prompt when exiting the program!
Now, for some of the things I found last night and tonight:
- A couple of times, I managed to get a fairly ugly termination (all windows disappear, no Windows crash/dump, etc) when using F2 and then cursor up/down to move among the rows in a table - in particular, a system's Groups tab. Haven't tried to replicate it since discovering this.
- In the following workflow: Hitting plus on the systems screen, entering the newly created "unknown" system, entering a SID, and downloading - the resulting downloaded system remains type "unknown". User has to manually change to the right system type.
- Motorola systems in which the RRDB has no defined/specified system ID will not download. This may be as you intended; I know you can leave out the SID and download by Motorola sysid instead.
- Downloading a system that exists in your UT DB sometimes results in a duplicate entry being created instead of updating the existing one. Example - noted that RRDB SID 5492 is green today indicating an update. Went to my UT DB and opened that system (if I recall right, that's the RENIR P25 system in Quebec). Hit "download", expecting it to pull the updated data into the existing system and provide the table listing changes and asking me to accept or reject, as with other systems I've downloaded recently. Instead, a second copy of SID 5492 was created in the UT DB.
- More on the LTR talkgroup issue: A talkgroup shows up in the RRDB as 0-10-129. Stored in the UT DB (XML file) as "10129". When UT's options are set to "Decimal" for LTR display, the program shows this as "1-07-145". When UT's options are set to "Hexadecimal", the resulting displayed group is "1-07-91". Haven't tried to monitor an LTR system yet to see what exactly will come across/be displayed when the signal is received.
As always, thanks for your hard work, and I'm sure everyone will agree that the improvements made were well worth the wait.

So far, I'm impressed with the changes to the new version. I had no issues dropping it over Build 5 and it just read in my existing database file no problem. Couple of minors points/buglets (I'll mention I'm monitoring a Motorola Type-2 system):
- In the "Call History" tab, the Source Label associated with the Source TG never displays in the top half, but displays properly in the bottom half. All the other fields display okay.
- The next thing that'd get me excited is to have it remember the window position/size/layout, including the column sizes, when I restart. Remembering per-system/site would be even cooler. :-)
- To confirm, multi-select painting is indeed broken. You mention this in your release notes, I'm just confirming. :-)
All minor stuff, which is always a good thing.
Brad.

I'll test this out. Do you end up with two systems?

This is partly by design. Anyone finding such a system in the DB - please submit the system ID, active control channel frequency and site number (if any) to the RR database. There are a few cases where the same system ID has been re-used so the program will eventually need to prompt the user to choose which system they want. That's on my TODO list. In cases like this where the SID was given explicitly - it should presume the user understands the consequences and carry out the request. I think the code assumes a system ID - and doesn't know what to do when there isn't one.

That's a bug.

Please don't forget the data archive feature. If the "Take Me Back" button does not work for you, you can manually rollback to an earlier version of your saved data. Look in your Unitrunker data folder. See all those files named "Unitrunker.xml.1 ... Unitrunker.xml.2 ... and so on? The higher the number - the more recent the file. Look at the date and file size for an idea of which file to use. Copy the file (do not rename) to Unitrunker.xml (no numeric suffix) before running Unitrunker. That's the file it will load.
That should save your a$$ in most cases.

I too, am having this problem. When I am using the previous version everything works great. When I setup the new version of Unitrunker (using the same setup as the previous version), the new version does not respond.

Well, everything that went wrong was my fault, I kept plugging at it and I'm up and running, I'm just having problems downloading the system, and entering a band plan, the numbers jump around, I add one and another changes 2 lines, but, I won't give up. Found a fix for the download problem though, had to rename a system, download and change the name back. I like the program, nice job!
