Default Unable to Tune OPTO with Unitrunker

I am successfully tracking my local EDACS system with the new version of Unitrunker (1.0.0.8). I am however, struggling to configure my setup to tune voice to my Pro2006 with an Opto board installed.

Hardware: Connected to Pro2006/Opto board via a Prolific USB to Serial cable (my computer doesn't have a serial Port). Computer using Windows XP SP3. The Opto board works properly as I use it regularly from another computer running the DOS version of Trunker.

In control Panel ... the Prolific USB to Serial cable appears to be on COMM4. 9600 BPS, 8 data bits, parity none, stop bits 1 and flow control none.

In Unitrunker ...

Receiver 2 ... Type: Control, Model: OPTO, Role: VOICE, Run: RUNNING
Serial Port: COM4, Baud Rate: 9600, Data Bits 8, Stop Bits 1, Parity none.
While here ... what does checking "P25", "ProVoice", VSELP" do? What do "Source" and "Target" refer to under the listen section?

All my system frequencies are entered and all my talkgroups are checked to "Listen"

Is there anything I am missing that may be preventing me from successfully tuning my OPTO? Is there a particular sequence of events I must follow after making changes .. ie restarting UT, or stopping/running the receiver? Usually, the display of the Pro2006 blanks out when under the control of the Opto.

I am grateful for any advice ...

Default Resolution ...

OK ... finally resolved the problem.

1) Don't use a null modem cable. I switched cables and everything worked well from that point.
2) There is a setting in the Options Tab ... "Listening: ENABLED" must be checked.

All is good!

Well ... insignificant, not hearing the special sound effects (whoop, ring, bong etc.) Could be becuase I have the sound disabled. When the sound is enabled, the control channel comes through on the audio since it's the input to the sound card.
